A vandal set fireplace to a Sept. 11 memorial, together with an American flag, contained in the Port Authority Bus Terminal, officers stated Monday.
The firebug focused the memorial wall within the north wing of the Midtown terminal round 11:30 p.m. Sunday, Port Authority sources stated.
He lit up an American flag and a Port Authority World Commerce Heart tribute flag, they added.
The person took off however was caught on surveillance cameras and arrested about three hours later.
The Port Authority Police Division misplaced 56 officers on Sept. 11, 2001. Since then, 11 extra division members have died as a consequence of associated sicknesses, in response to the Port Authority’s web site.
